Whether you travel or simply have an appreciation for far away places, you will enjoy the magnificent original works by Laurie Ragan. Portraying the true beauty of Italy, England, Ireland, France and Scandanavia, what one might capture through the lens of a camera is far surpassed by what Laurie brings to life with the strokes of her brushes.
Subdued earth-tones and an exemplary attention to detail, Laurie's fondness for old world architecture, romantic medieval castles, and European buildings and landscapes has become her trademark.
Laurie's highly sought after works of art are now available for purchase as fine quality prints. Please enjoy viewing her gallery!

It is hard to believe, with her incredible European style of paintings, that Laurie was born and raised in Illinois. Although her mother recognized her talents as early as age 3, and her teachers found her drawings captivating, Laurie's educational endeavors never included art instruction. It wasn't until the birth of her first son that she "took up the brush" and taught herself to paint.
Over 32 years later, Laurie has created quite a following of collectors and clients who have become enthralled with her ability to adapt her creative talents to private homes and businesses. Having studied with Martin Alan Hirsch of Decorative Finishes Studio in Louisville, Kentucky, Laurie's passion for the last ten years has been interior designing of faux finishes, as well as her incredible murals. It was just recently that she revisited her love of individual original paintings.
Public display of murals and faux finishes, and some of her accomplishments include:
